I think this past session was not an example of how to do it right. With how they handled the budget, it ended up being okay. But There was a lot of proposals that were, quite frankly, out of character for what Florida has done. When you're going after highway patrol, when you're taking away body armor, doing stuff, those were proposals that were there, and it didn't pass muster. But why not just keep doing what's working?
