And then I think a series of decisions that, you know, they're not just wrong, they also overthrow established precedent with such abandon and recklessness that I think it deprives the Court of a sense of consistency and constancy that the public expects. Obviously, The Dobbs decision did away with decades of precedent in the stroke of a pen. as though, well, this is just what we do. And in fact, it is just so rare and reckless for the Court to overthrow precedent because that respect for the continuity of our law is what makes it law, after all. (07:15–07:28)
