As many of you know, when the Schumer shutdown recently threatened to shutter our state's beautiful national parks, we jumped into action. We reached an agreement with the National Park Service that allows us to use state resources to keep the New River Gorge national park open and Harpers Ferry open to the public. Part of why I was motivated to do that is I knew there are a lot of small businesses in Harper's Ferry and down by the New River Gorge who really rely on, on the tourism business that comes through.
