Two and a half centuries ago, on November 10, 1775, the Continental Congress founded a fighting force that would come to embody the very spirit of America, the Marine Corps. From the first battles of our independence to today's global challenges, Marines have stood ready to defend freedom wherever duty calls. And here in West Virginia, the Marine Corps has a very proud history. (12:42–12:58)
