So as we celebrate this amazing 250th birthday of the U.S. marine Corps, we do so not only in remembrance of great battles and heroes, but but in recognition of the enduring legacy of the Marine Corps. Our hills and hollers have produced Men and women of uncommon strength and loyalty with more veterans per capita than any other state in the nation. To that end, we are never, and I mean never, going to take for granted the freedoms that they've all fought to defend for 250 years. (16:00–16:12)
