Now I calculated every time we went to the er. I paid cash and I negotiated. I think I spent $5,000 on my health care for my entire family that year. If I had insurance and co pays and everything else, we calculated to be like 20 to $25,000 that year had we had insurance. So one, I'm a big fan of paying cash. Nobody can track what you're doing.
