The road has been long, but the journey was worth it. It's my pleasure to introduce my friend and governing partner, Governor Josh Shapiro. This budget strengthens our teacher pipeline by increasing our investment in the student teacher stipends. a wildly successful initiative we began just a couple years ago. As a result of last year's investment of $20 million, we were able to pay stipends to 2,000 students student teachers, putting more teachers in the classrooms with our kids where they belong.
