And for youngest students, this budget invests in something known as structured literacy, which puts a renewed emphasis on teaching them to read well and training our teachers to teach them how to read effectively. It increases funding for pre K and early intervention programs, allowing us to hire more pre K teachers and supporting those kids who need just a little bit more help.
