When I started in Washington county, our tax rate was $2.88 per thousand. The budget that I proposed and will get approved in a few weeks, God willing, it's $1.40. What? Oh, yeah. And it's a combination of two things. Our property tax collection. So the tax levy, I know you're familiar with that, they're lower in 2026 than when I was elected in 2020, and it's lower than it was in 2008. (32:58–33:11)
