To have the system radically overhauled, as the President wants to, is both a bad idea, but it's also inconsistent with our Constitution. The Trump administration has repeatedly tried to obtain Wisconsin's voter rolls. Why not give up that data? Yeah. The federal government has filed a separate suit seeking information about Wisconsin voters. The issue is that there is information that can be bought by anybody in the public and can be bought by the federal government that provides background on voters in Wisconsin. (14:21–14:27)
