I think we need to put more priority on public education. Quite honestly, I was a teacher for a couple years. I could make more money cutting meat one day than teaching for five. We don't pay our teachers enough. and that's important too. We need the best of the best in the classroom. But as far as the federal government taking over funding for our local school districts, I don't think that would be a positive thing for our rural districts across Montana. (57:43–57:46)
