So I was, I was elected Chief Justice. My. I began on July 1st of 2025, and for many, many years the Chief justice was the most senior member on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. In 2015, there was a constitutional amendment that was passed that said the members of the Supreme Court get to choose their Chief Justice. And my colleagues chose me to be Chief justice in the spring, with the term starting in July. I think what a lot of people don't realize about the Wisconsin Supreme Court is something I mentioned a little while ago. (13:54–14:03)
