Hey West Michigan, it's a big week in Washington and I want to talk to you about what is happening right now in Congress as we negotiate funding for the Department of Homeland Security and more specifically ICE. The House voted yesterday to advance HR 7148, the Consolidated Appropriations act of 2026. This will end the partial government shutdown that began on January 30, which included over half of the federal government, including the Department of State Department, Department of Transportation and the Department of Homeland Security.
