With more people coming here, just in the inflation rate alone, all of that increases the sales tax going forward. And that sales tax will increase even more with the more people that come here. All that said, Texas is more prepared than any other government in the United States to deal with an economic shortfall because we have the largest ESF, or raining day fund of any state. We got $27 billion in our savings account to make sure that if there is a shortfall, we'll be able to make it through that shortfall until the economy gets growing again. (17:47–18:01)
