I hear from tribal leaders that the federal government is failing with our trust and treaty obligations with regard to law enforcement. And we are. I've been one of the top voices in calling out that failure. As a result, We got a 34% increase in the federal government investment in tribal law enforcement in the last appropriations package out of the House. That's pretty remarkable. That doesn't mean that we're done. We have a lot more to do. But they also talk about what a terrible job the Bureau of Indian Education does. (12:10–12:20)
