So I think the wrong lesson from this would be that we shouldn't be confident in using American leadership in American force to protect U.S. interests abroad. That would be the wrong lesson. But The right lesson is one of humility and care, because the precious use of military men and women and resources comes at a cost. It comes at a cost in confidence in the American people. And so, you know, when I'm going through these small towns in Pennsylvania, those are the folks that pay disproportionately when we go to war. (06:09–06:21)
