This year we had bipartisan efforts to pushed back against the spread of deepfake abuse and held individuals accountable for the exploitation of minors, whether through traditional crimes or emerging digital tools. We have charged individuals using a new law prohibiting the use of AI to create explicit images of children. These laws are critical examples of why it's important for states to be able to regulate the use of AI in our communities. (02:48–02:55)
