My office has been particularly active in learning about artificial intelligence and chatbot technology. We have taken action demanding more protections from the producers and vendors of these products. A coalition of 42 state attorneys general, 21 Republican and 21 Democrat, led by myself and the Attorneys general of New Jersey, West Virginia and Massachusetts issued a letter to 13 AI companies demanding that they take action to ensure that their chatbots are not producing harmful outputs. These have resulted in productive discussions and that we will be in a position to talk about in much greater detail in the near future. (06:11–06:35)
