And according to our nation's report card, we only have three out of 10 children who are reading well enough to be college and career ready. 3 out of 10. And here In Milwaukee, we have the worst results for our black children. We only have 5% of our black children reading well enough to be able to go to college or have a career. This is a crisis. And so I started this program where we provide one on one tutoring to students who have fallen behind by certified teachers. (04:51–05:06)
