And a dozen New Yorkers with disabilities went on a hunger strike and persuaded FDR to create jobs for people with disabilities. And that was the birth of the disability rights movement. So I've been very moved by that. As comptroller, I hired the first ever disability rights liaison. We created a committee that brought people together. We did audits of the express bus service and showed how express buses, which are really inaccessible, can be made much more accessible. (1:11:31–1:11:36)
