And Republicans had immediately executed a power grab for control of a lot of the powers that the governor and Attorney General had been elected to wield. So Governor Walker, Scott Walker, signed this power grab lame duck legislation which was then rubber stamped by the right wing majority on the state Supreme Court. And it felt and looked like Republicans just weren't willing to give up power even when Democrats won elections on top of that. We won a lot of presidential races, but they'd been incredibly close.
