Unfortunately, the legislative supermajority refused to fund pre K for all this session, turning a no brainer about 4 year olds into a partisan issue. We won't accept that outcome. So Using flexible federal funds that a governor can determine where they go, we've started and we are expanding [pre K]. this to try to make sure as many of those four year olds get that great start. Kentucky's kids, they deserve better. So do our families that need childcare, so do our businesses that need more workers. (35:18–35:26)
