I specifically want to thank Secretary Ray Perry and the Public Protection Cabinet for leading this effort and the Department of Financial Institutions, Commissioner Marnie Gibson, whose team has been holding events across the state to educate especially seniors about scams. This year, over 700 seniors have attended [scam prevention] events, which means they are better protected and less likely to lose that life savings. So by working together, sharing information, and talking to our families, friends and neighbors, we can stop scams. (10:07–10:16)
