This community project, which includes the construction of a new high school and area technology center, supports local and regional workforce needs in manufacturing and health care through collaboration of expanded career pathways, co ops and internships. Our project behind me will consolidate educational services on one campus, eliminating three outlying schools, each over 60 years old, and save the community an estimated $45 million on facility needs in those buildings. This project would not be possible without the overwhelming support of the local community who enacted a local facilities tax specifically for this project. (21:29–21:46)
