Wisconsin was the first state in the nation to pass both a state run unemployment system back in the 1930s. We were also the first state in the nation to have a constitutionally valid workers compensation program and The first state in the nation to pass a state apprenticeship program all the way back in 1911. So wonderful history there. And all of these programs are available, but if I have lost my job, I want to immediately file for unemployment so I can start to access some of those unemployment payments that folks are entitled to.
