What we saw in this election was a number of young people coming out to vote, the likes of which we haven't seen in a long time. In New York City, the three age groups that voted at the highest rates were all under the age of 35. We managed to register more than 30,000 new voters in the last 10 days. In 2021, that was at 3,000. So much of the work of protecting our democracy is not just fighting back against authoritarianism. (15:17–15:26)
