We talked about farmers and agriculture as a backbone of this state, as I believe it is. Well, farmers in the room will know I mean this when I say this, but I believe every homeowner does, too. The property taxes have gotten way too high, unjustly high in this state. It's wrong. When you're paying as much in your property tax as you are on the principal and interest payments on your mortgage, it starts to feel a lot like the land that you own is really just a lease from the government.
