Period. This is just water, folks. Today, after years of attacks and disinvestment, UW is facing campus closures and program cuts. Students are facing tuition increases and faculty and staff are facing layoffs. And with new federal efforts to cut higher education funding, things for UW could go could get a whole lot worse. So tonight, I'm keeping the promise I made to the people of Wisconsin. (21:42–21:49)
