It is a necessity. The current threat environment facing the United States is as serious and as layered as anything I have witnessed during my time in Congress. The convergence of challenges from China, Russia, North Korea and Iran demands that we all work together with a level of seriousness and urgency. that frankly has not always characterized our defense debates in recent years.
