There was an issue with veterans who had invisible wounds, that had service dogs that were being turned away from establishments here in Michigan. So we changed the law. I worked with A bipartisan coalition to change We changed the law [in Michigan] to give [veterans with service dogs] appropriate protections. and to also crack down on people who were faking service animals in order to take their pets on an airplane or something like that, to make sure that our laws were very clear.
