So this program was set up to allegedly create jobs, but the jobs are going to cost taxpayers over $160,000 per job created. The jobs are only required to last six months. And most recently, Ford Motor Company received $101 million corporate welfare cash subsidy from the state of Michigan to create 3,000 jobs. And they instead laid off 3,000 workers two months later and kept the money. We ought to be investing that into our infrastructure to make sure that we are building out roads, bridges, dams and everything else that we need to in our state to shore up our crumbling infrastructure.
