I formerly served in the state legislature in Michigan. I did four years in the state House of Representatives, four years in the state Senate. And really though my background is in the Army, I did 22 years in the United States Army. I enlisted right out of high school and ended up serving on deployments around the world in Iraq, Kuwait, Guantanamo Bay and South Korea. (01:05–01:08)
