For my part, with my Senate colleagues, we've been here at work every week trying to find a path forward. And there's two main issues. One, We're trying to help keep health care premiums from spiking for millions of Americans around this country as a result of the reconciliation bill that was passed last summer. And second, we're trying to get a commitment from the president that if we do a deal, the president will honor his side of the deal and not immediately tear it up and start firing more federal employees.
