And the reason it is wrong is because our rights come from God Almighty. And the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is not something government has the power to take away. The Constitution inverted the model of sovereignty. And instead of viewing sovereignty as something that originates from God, goes down to the monarch and the government and then goes to the people instead, it turns it upside down and it begins with the opening words of the Constitution.
