Senator Markey is attacking the wages paid by foreign direct investment without noting that companies like Japan and Germany already pay wages that are at least 7% above domestic averages. I'll also point out that Section 4e of this bill already requires the review's recommendations to, quote, maintain or strengthen the labor protections of the United States. And so, for those reasons, I urge a no vote. Mr. Chairman.
