And the legislature then revisited the the law and created a procedure that allows people to get their IDs more easily, even if they're missing some of these underlying documents. It's called an affidavit procedure. And Brad Schimmel said at the time that that law was pending, that if the legislature revisited that law and enacted an affidavit procedure, that all the litigation would drop and go away.
