I helped write the very first living wage law in the state of Georgia, and by the time we got it passed as a city attorney, I got it written, I got it passed. By the time the legislature came back in the next year, they made it illegal to have living wage laws in Georgia. So we've got to look at every level of state and local government, but we also have to ask people in the north, if you're in a safe, blue state, do they have a Voting Rights act on the books?
