It was explained a couple years later. Never was classified. The only thing that's classified is the details of the construction of the nuclear weapons that caused this. So it was just ignored. It was something pretty scary and we didn't want to acknowledge it. So we put our head in the sand and our head's still in the sand, by and large. Well, people tried.
