I never heard of rotavirus until I started doing this work. Rotavirus does affect children in developing nations because diarrhea is a major cause of death, and it causes diarrhea in this country. The death rate from rotavirus prior to the introduction of the vaccine was about three kids a year. And since the introduction of the vaccine, the data, one of the studies showed that it's dropped to two deaths a year. And we don't know whether that's a statistical anomaly. (12:25–12:31)
