My amendment, which has been incorporated as part of the manager's amendment, builds on that effort by directing the VA in coordination with the National Cemetery administration, to approve the crucifix as an eligible emblem of belief within 90 days. Catholic veterans make up nearly 20% of those who have served. Yet they are denied the ability to have the central symbol of their faith represented on their headstone. (00:39–00:55)
