To me, the issue is obvious and its solution relies on a basic economic principle, supply and demand. According to the housing needs assessment, It will take 7,200 homes just to break even. And if we want to grow the workforce beyond what we have today, we need over 8,000 homes a year for the next five years. But our current rate is about 2,300. (18:14–18:20)
