Part of what I'm proud about from that campaign is that we talked a lot about making the system work for people instead of the other way around. We had a reform agenda that not all of my peers wanted to talk about. Not everybody wanted to hear about fixing our electoral system so that everybody's vote counts the same and the person who gets the most votes wins. Back then, not everybody wanted to hear about reforming the Supreme Court so it'd be less partisan. Now I think that idea has got a little more mainstream. (06:42–06:50)
