Unfortunately, my opponent voted against legislation that would have required rules such as these, and I'm referring to the West act, which she voted against and would have required the BLM conservation and landscape health rule to be withdrawn. Yesterday's announcement here in the state of Alaska is a perfect example. And this is what a hostile administration to Alaska looks like as they took another 10% of Alaska lands off the table for responsible development. Thank you, Representative Peltola. My voice advocating for responsible development is a powerful counterbalance to the lower 48 extremists who want to turn all of Alaska into a preserve instead of proper notice and robust consultation with those who stand to be most impacted.
