As one of the first korean american women ever got elected to the United States Congress, I am very proud to represent 50,000 Korean Americans living in Southern California. Many of my constituents are first generations like me. It's not just Korean Americans, but I have vietnamese american, 16.7% vietnamese american community in my district. and they fled from communism too. Many of them still have family in North Korea, and many of them still have family in Vietnam. So this issue is vitally important to them, important to me. (02:34–02:43)
