We had an ICE agent last week who demanded that a Denver police officer turn over an individual to ice, that officer would have broken city law and state law if they did that. And so We have a city and state law that says we do not turn people over in custody. We do not ask their status. We need to honor those laws. We want to make sure our officers and our outreach workers know what those laws are so they can abide by them. (09:58–10:03)
