Next year what we're doing is the harder work of how do you structurally right size this budget. You can't have expenditures growing faster than revenues. Any family's checking account that does not work. Over the last 10 years, the city's revenues have only grown by 75%. Expenditures have grown by 83%. That means over time we're spending 8% more than we're bringing in. That's not sustainable. What we have to do is right size the whole city government to make it a sustainable government and that's what we'll do for 2026. (08:11–08:18)
