By eliminating statute of limitations in rape cases where new DNA evidence identifies the offender, we're making sure that the law catches up with both science and common sense. These new laws have built on the work we've been doing to strengthen protections for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. That includes banning revenge porn and non consensual deep fakes. I've spoken out about this before. Criminalizing sexual assault by healthcare providers who claim to be providing treatment or counseling, investing in services that support survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
