The needs and the issues that are, I think, common to so many across Massachusetts today is also about showing how money and economic mobility is made possible through our state colleges and universities. And it's something that we've leaned into. It's why, Since taking office, we've doubled the state's investment in financial aid for students attending all of our 29 colleges and universities. In the 2023 school year alone, we saved Massachusetts college students over $130 million as a result of those actions. And now we're seeing that benefit people across 15 community colleges, nine state universities and six UMass campuses. (02:56–03:08)
