And then they get to D.C. and they can't even have a conversation. They're so busy hollering at each other and calling each other names. I think Ranked choice voting makes the campaign more civil because we have to be talking to everybody's first choice voters. and hope that they are. You are their second choice. I think that's the critical piece is to eliminate closed partisan primaries because that gets more people from the middle who can appeal to a broader cross section of the voting public. (02:17–02:27)
