I think ranked choice voting makes the campaign more civil because we have to be talking to everybody's first choice voters and hope that they are. You are their second choice. I think that's the critical piece is to eliminate closed partisan primaries because that gets more people from the middle. who can appeal to a broader cross section of the voting public. So I am very hopeful about ranked choice voting and optimistic about it, and I think it's a very good thing. (02:30–02:40)
